Simple Sig

In this tutorial, we will learn how to make a simple sig. Sig usually used at forum signature.
This tutorial will give you this result:

Create a new file (CTRL+N), I used 400×150 resolution.
Go to Filters > Render > Clouds

Copy the layer (CTRL+J) 2 times so you have 3 layers of clouds, then make these settings:
Top cloud: Color Dodge
Middle cloud: Soft Light
Bottom cloud: Overlay
and you will have something like this:

Open your render and put it anywhere you like.

Copy the render layer (CTRL+J) 3 times so you will have 4 render layers in total, hide all except the bottom layer.
Set the bottom layer to these settings:
Motion blur: 0 Angle, 14 pixel distance

Unhide the next layer and make these settings:
Sharpen More, Soft Light and erase some of the edges to blend it with the bottom layer.

Unhide the next one and erase again some of the edges but now erase a bit more inward.

Unhide the last render layer and make these settings:
Gaussian Blur with 1.6 pixel radius, Soft Light, again erase the edges to blend it with the other render layers.

Add the text, copy in so you will have 2 text layers.
Set the bottom text layer with Gaussian Blur at 1.6 pixel radius.
Set the top layer with Gradient Overlay.

You can add your name in it, so that they will know who designed the sig, as so:

Lastly, add the border:
Create a new layer, place the layer the top.
Take the marquee tool, right click > Select All (or CTRL+A)
Right click > Stroke, then get a colored stroke at no more than 3px thick and set it to Overlay.

Nice sig and great tutorial!
