Love Heart Picture

Learn how to transform your photo into a heart-shaped picture.

Step 1. Open your image.

Step 2. Create new layer, select Custom Shape Tool, check the following setting

Step 3. Create the shape by drop and dragging the cursor over the photo/image (the color isn’t important, but i used red) - now in the ‘layer’ window hold CTRL and left click on the heart shaped layer, this will get the outline of the heart.

Step 4. Select your photo in layer windows, usually Layer 1. Right Click on document and click Select Inverse. Then hit delete key

Step 5. Create a new layer and bring it to the back. This will become the background. Pick a nice color and fill the layer with it.

Step 6. Duplicate the ‘heart shaped photo/image’ layer, bring it to the middle. Now click ‘Filter’ > ‘Blur’ > Gaussian Blur’ and enter the value: Radius:9 pixels.

Step 7. Go back to the original heart shaped layer (should be the top layer) select it! then go to ‘Layer’ > ‘Layer Style’ > ‘Blending Options’ enter these settings:
